Two team members and I designed a crew sock for astronauts on the International Space Station. After receiving a brief about the impacts to the foot in a micro-gravity environment, we created a prototype that provides stability and contains load bearing proprieties. We presented our final design at the NASA Headquarters in Houston, Texas. This design also won first place in the Industrial Fabric Association International competition for Advanced Textiles. My team and I were flown to New Orleans to present at the annual IFAI exhibition.
